depending on fabric type. Like Cotton, Lycra, Viscose etc.
Formula(Mordern concept):
------------------------------
1)CPD(Consumption per dozen) = Length x Width x 12(dozen) x GSM(gram per square meter) / 10000000 kg
Formula(Old concept):
2)CPD(Consumption per dozen) = Length x Width x GSM(gram per square meter) / 1550 / 1000 / 9 x 12(dozen) kgFormula(Old concept):
Consumption calculation of short Sleeve tee:-
A)CPD(body) =    L x W x 12(dozen) x GSM / 10000000 kg
= 70 x 102 x 12 x 150 / 10000000 kg
= 1.28 kg
B)CPD(Sleeve) = L x W x 12(dozen) x 2(pair) x GSM / 10000000 kg
= 25 x 49 x 12 x 2 x 150 / 10000000 kg
= 0.44 kg
C)CPD(Neck) =    L x W x 12(dozen) x GSM / 10000000 kg
= 61 x 7 x 12 x 180 / 10000000 kg
= 0.09 kg
So, Total CPD =    (A + B + C)
= (1.28 + 0.44 + 0.09 ) kg
= 1.81 kg / per dozen
Actual CPD =    Total CPD + 7% Wastage
= (1.81 + 7%) kg
= 1.94 kg / per dozen
So, the fabric consumption for men's T-shirt is 1.94 kg per dozen.
Consumption calculation of Woven Basic Pant:-
If Fabric width = 60
1)Half Waist Curcumas =    46cm + 8(SA) = 54cm2)Front Raise =    28cm include waist belt + 8(SA) = 36cm
3)Half Thighs Curcumas =    36cm + 6(SA) = 42cm
4)Inseam Length =    82cm + 3(SA) = 85cm
Consumption formula:
(Half waist curcumas x front rise) x 2 + (Half thigh
curcumas x Inseam length) x 4 / 36 / 59 +
wastes % = YDS/PC
*Note;-In case of size measurement in CM to
divide by 6.45 (Sq cm) otherwise not
Consumption Formula
for Woven Shirt:
{1/2 Chest x (CB Length + Sleeve Length)} x
2 /36 /Fabric width + Wastage% = Yards/Pcs.

Back part:
The part of a garment
which covers the back.
Formula:- {L} {W}
Required fabric = (Center back length
+allowance)(½chest+allowance)/36
44
= (31"+2") (24"+2")/36
44
=
0.541yds
Yoke:
A shaped
piece fabric in a garment, fitted about or below the neck and shoulders, from
which the rest of the garment hangs. It can be split in two, called the
“split-yoke.”
Formula:-
Required fabric =
(Yoke length +allowance) (yoke width +allowance)/36 44
= (21"+2") (4"+1")/36
44
= 0.079 yards
Front part:
The front part of a
shirt
Formula:-
Required fabric =
[(Body length +allowance) (¼chest +allowance)] 2/36
44
= [(31" -1¼
+1")(12"+2½")]2/36
44
= 0.562 yards
Sleeve:
The part of a garment
that covers the arm and is usually cut wider than the cuffs. Most sleeve
lengths fall between 32 and 36 inches.
Formula:-
Required fabric = [{Slv. length –(½ drop
shoulder +1")}( arm hole depth full
+allowance)]2/36
44
= [{34½"-(11"+1")}(21"+1")]2/36
44
= 0.68 yards
Cuff:
A fold or
band serving as a trimming or finish for the bottom of a sleeve. Some cuff
styles include: French Cuffs and Barrel Cuffs.
Formula:-
Required fabric =
{(Cuff length +allowance) (cuff width +allowance)} 2/36
44
= {(9"+3") (2½"+1½")} 2/36
44
= 0.06

Pocket:
Formula:-
Required fabric =
{(Pocket length +allowance) (Pocket width +allowance)}/36
44
= {(6"+2")
(5½"+1")}/36
44
= 0.032 yards
Collar:
The part of a shirt that encompasses the neck line of the garment, often
so as to fold or roll over. Comes in various shapes, depending on the face
shape and occasion.
Formula:-
Required fabric =
{(Collar length +allowance) (Collar width +allowance)} 4/36
44
= {(16"+5")(2"+1")}4/36

Consumption from Marker
Knit fabric consumption from marker:
Marker (for 9 pc marker) = {(Length x
Width) x12x GSM}/ (1550x1000x9) + Wastage% = Kg/ dozen
Woven fabric
consumption from marker:
Marker length = 5yds 13"
Fabric width = 43" or 42.5"
Shipment quantity =1000

For 5pcs marker,
5yds 13" = 5pcs
5yds 13/36 = 5pcs
5.36yds = 5pcs
5.36/5 x 12 = 12.86 yards/dozen
Fabric required = 1000 dozen x 12.86 yards + 5%
=13503 yards
